‘I was working in the backyard one afternoon when I noticed this wild flower growing nearby. It caught my attention because it reminded me of a person dancing with their arms extended. The first question was how to isolate this particular stem against the background foliage while still keeping the flower buds as sharp as possible. To overcome this issue, I took a few images at the widest aperture (f/2.8) and applied focus stacking later in post-production. This approach gave me the result I was looking for.’
