‘In April 2019 I went on a short photography tour to a nearby place, the Malomvölgyi Lake in Hungary, with my parents. We were expecteing some great close-up subjects and got a few on the lakeside.

I took some shots of flowers and water drops but the most interesting subject was a fly with extremely big eyes. I tried to get closer and closer, very slowly and calmly. Without a tripod some of the pictures were blurred but the efficient image stabiliser of the Olympus worked well.’
